On Being Competitive

In the physical world, we sift through soil that appears to be mere dirt to uncover the gold. We boil the water and condense its vapor to purify it.

Similarly, in the world within, we should deliberately put ourselves through discomfort to extract mastery.

Not all battles are worth fighting, despite the ego’s roar.

The greatest reward is ripped from winning the battles within.

The battles within are between our spirit and our ego. To achieve greatness, the ego has to die. Only then can we be like Jacob who wrestled the angel of God and was transformed.
